Through the course of building N87RH we consulted aerodynamicists, machinists, engineers, welders, paint and bodywork experts, other builders, and read countless publications. Ron had collected filing cabinets full of reference materials. With Ron’s passing I lost access to nearly all of that and his notes, so this blog will be more like a memoir then a technical reference document. I’ll include links when possible and answer questions when I can but I most likely can’t provide names and contact information for the people we consulted other than general references to where we got the information I’m sharing.

Although I have an extensive collection of digital pictures taken over the years, the vast majority of pictures are in a Rubbermaid tub as 4″x6″ prints. I plan to tackle one part of the project like Ailerons or perhaps on aspect of the project like hinges with a detailed explanation of the hows and whys we made the changes we did. Each post will have pictures and keywords to help locate the desired information in the future.
